Testing dispersion of airborne particles

22 Feb 2022

ARBS is pleased to have provided a funding grant to the University of Sydney to carry out a series of unique tests to simulate the dispersion of airborne particles in the context of understanding the transmission of COVID-19.

A breathing thermal manikin was used in a range of scenarios at the Maritime Museum in Sydney.

The overarching conclusion of the tests is: – there is a good case to rethink the 1.5 meter rule for indoor settings.

A video of the test is available along with a report of the experiment. The link to the video is: https://youtu.be/ezZPjAUyvIg
